Our Quality Control
This Code of Ethics is followed at Kalpexim and subsidiary concerns. This code states that the company Kalpexim meets the basic legal and ethical requirements of our country in matters of labour practices, environmental controls and trade practices. Besides this, it aims at meeting the best practices in terms of human resources, environmental concerns and operations as set by the local industry standards. Above all, this code of ethics is to ensure that we always provide a humane and safe working environment for all our workers and staff.
At Kalpexim, we understand that every buyer and/or its agency has its own code of conduct that requires vendor compliance. We aim to exceed those minimum expectations. All buyers are welcome to visit and inspect the factory premises, talk to the workers and examine non-confidential documentation at any time. However, if there are any shortcomings at our plant, we would appreciate any recommendations and suggestions the buyer has to improve our work processes and environment.
General Principles
Kalpexim operates in full compliance with all applicable laws, rules and regulations, including those relating to labour practices, employee health and safety, environmental controls, fair trade practices.

Environment
Kalpexim is a non-polluting industry and operates in a Non- Polluting Industrial Zone. The factory has no polluting discharge and does not release any form of toxic solids, liquids and gases in the environment.
Labour Practices
The Factory employs workers on the basis of their ability to do the job and not on the basis of their race, gender, religion, age, maternity or marital status.
The factory does not use involuntary labour of any kind including any prison, indentured or forced labour by governments.
The factory does not require any worker to remain in employment for any period of time against his or her will.
The factory does not employ anyone below 16 years of age. In India, 16 is the minimum legal working age.
The factory, where possible maintains official documentation for every worker that verifies the date of birth. In case of workers where the official documentation is not available, the factory confirms age using an appropriate and reliable assessment method.
Wages and Hours - The factory pays all workers the wage as appropriate to local industry standards. In most cases, this wage is higher than the legal minimum wage.
Overtime - There is often overtime during full production, every worker is paid overtime wage for the hours of extra work put in. Besides that, the worker gets a meal allowance for the day.
Weekly Off - All workers are entitled to one day weekly off. In times of full production, workers are paid overtime wage for working the seventh day.
Hours worked - Kalpexim follows a single shift system of 8 hours per day. All factory workers are entitled to one hour lunch break and unrestricted toilet visits and water breaks.
Leave - The factory provides paid annual leave and holidays as required by law to all its employees.
Wage Statement - For each pay period, every worker is provided with an understandable wage statement, which includes days worked, hours of overtime at specified rate, bonuses, allowances and legal and contractual deductions. Working Conditions - Employee Health & Safety

Work Area Ventilation
The factory is well-ventilated with windows, doors and fans to ensure adequate circulation, ventilation and temperature control.
Emergency Exits
Emergency exit routes are clearly marked and accessible in all areas of the factory. All main exit doors are open to the outside. These doors are kept accessible and unlocked during all working hours to allow for orderly evacuation in case of fire and other emergencies.
